No Slop Club

We build software with intent, review and care. This is a simple signal for projects that value quality over generated noise.

The idea

A badge people can add to their README to say:
"This project is not slop."

It is not about banning AI forever. It is about rejecting lazy, unreviewed, vibe-coded garbage.

The badge

slop: not found

Add it to Markdown

Trust model

Anyone can use the badge. If someone lies, that is on them. Reputation and code quality will expose it over time.

If the community wants stronger guarantees, we can also run a PR-based list, similar to clubs that manually verify submissions.

What this is really against

Not AI itself. Slop. Unreadable code. Unmaintained code. Unowned code.

Use it

Add the badge. Stand by your craft. Keep quality visible.
